Anger is an inevitable part of life and yet can be a frightening emotion. It is actually not the anger itself but how the anger is expressed that determines whether it is healthy or not.
Children are not born with the knowledge of how to handle the frustrations, disappointments and limitations they face, and this often results in their being angry. Inappropriate expressions of anger can lead to problems at home, at school and in every relationship. As a parent, when your child is out of control, it can make you question your parenting and evoke painful emotions.
Please join CC White, LPC on Wednesday October 21st from 2-3pm in our Fairfax office for an uninterrupted hour to explore this tricky subject. She will give you important information and leave plenty of time for questions and answers.
In this workshop, you will:
- learn about the role anger plays in childhood development
- how to spot the triggers of your child’s anger
- talk about the different ways children express anger, as well as what the results of that anger can be
- discover ways to cope with your child’s anger and how to help him/her find acceptable means to express it
This session is parents only and is appropriate for families with elementary age children.
The cost is $25 for up to two adult family members. Register via Paypal below.
