Shana is an MSW and clinical supervisee in social work. With over 18 years of experience working with teens, families, step-families, and adults, Shana incorporates various therapeutic approaches to help her clients cope with stressors, manage challenging symptoms more effectively, and increase feelings of belonging and well-being. A clinical member of In Step’s Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills team, Shana uses mindfulness, distress-tolerance skills, and self-regulation strategies to inform her clinical work. Shana received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Master’s degree in Social Work from George Mason University. In her spare time, Shana enjoys teaching her dog Detective Smokey Cash new tricks and spending time with family and friends.
