Allie Farris is a Licensed School Psychologist with a range of experience working with children and adolescents to support their social, emotional, and behavioral needs. She enjoys using her training and experience to offer practical support through consultation, psycho-educational evaluations to assess a student’s unique strengths and needs, as well as both individual counseling and small group support for children and teens. At In Step, Allie enjoys working with children individually to address anxiety and related disorders using cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, self-regulation-based techniques, and offering families access to consistent support and guidance. Allie’s group therapy leadership experiences at In Step include Early Childhood social skills groups, Stepping Stones Social IQ groups, and Social Confidence girls groups. She has worked for many years as a School Psychologist in the Fairfax County Public School system. She earned her Master’s degree in Psychology and an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Personally, she enjoys staying physically active, traveling, spending time with loved ones, and trekking through nature with her little one in tow.
