Me Want It (But Me Wait)

Sesame Street does not just help kids learn their ABC’s and numbers these days.  Now, they help pre-school kids develop early self-regulation skills. In this video, Cookie Monster helps kids devise self-talk strategies to manage the need for immediate gratification.

There are other videos too, like “The Spy Who Loved Cookies.”  This one focuses on learning the skill steps needed to follow directions (to the theme music of 007). Brilliant!
