Kimberley Grimes, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development from Virginia Tech and a Master’s in Social Work and a Master’s in Human and Community Development both from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Kim moved from Baltimore in the fall of 2013 where she had been a licensed clinician working with children, adolescents, and their families. She provided supervision to University of Maryland Social Work graduate intern students and Social Workers working towards their clinical license. Kim has worked within the foster care and medical communities, as well as provided outpatient and in-home clinical services for youth and their families. She has worked with youths and families facing emotional and behavioral issues. Kim works with children and families to support their emotional, social, and behavioral development, while strengthening their relationships, developing effective behavior modifications, and improving coping skills. She is eager to be working with groups and individuals at In Step West.
