Our Interpersonal Process groups are intended for those who have a grasp on conversational and social skills, but desire extra support to develop interpersonal skills and confidence. Groups focus on exploring and improving interpersonal relationships within a small group setting. Our trained therapists provide a space for individuals to interact and work on understanding themselves and others in a supportive environment. Members can feel free to share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment, and in turn, they provide feedback and emotional support to others, offering different perspectives and insights.
These groups can be beneficial for various issues such as relationship difficulties, social anxiety, communication problems, self-esteem issues, and more. The power of interpersonal process groups lies in the collective support, feedback, and shared experiences that contribute to personal growth and improved interpersonal relationships. The goals of the groups include improved satisfaction in relationships, increased self-compassion, and understanding triggers, biases, and blind spots.
Groups include the following:
- Women’s Group
- Middle School Group
- Teen Group
- Young Adult Group
- Social Confidence Group
Group Parent Coaching
As parents, you play a vital role in the social, emotional, and behavioral development of your child. You are not alone with your questions and worries about your child(ren). Meeting in a safe environment with other parents who share your concerns can make all the difference in setting you on a path to calm.
These groups are based off of the research that indicates the need for parental involvement when reinforcing the skills that children are learning in a group. The role parents play at home is essential to lasting social and emotional changes in all avenues of your child’s life. Using Cathi Cohen’s workbook Raising your Parenting IQ, parents learn techniques that will help in creating a more peaceful home environment, managing strong emotions, and setting realistic expectations. The group meets virtually for one hour every week.
It is a required component for all of our children’s groups.
All groups accept members year round, with the exception of Stepping Stones and Parent IQ Coaching. Please click the Contact Us tab to inquire about joining a group.
Women's Groups
We offer two women’s psychotherapy groups. These are ongoing groups where most members stay for a longer period of time. These groups go in depth in talk therapy for women who wear multiple hats and spend this group time on themselves instead of as “mom” or “wife.” They both meet 75-minutes a week
Middle School Boys
The goal of this group is to help boys ages 11-13 increase self-confidence, decrease anxiety and depression, and give them the tools and awareness to feel more at ease with themselves. This increased understanding and confidence will empower them to develop more satisfying relationships with friends and family. It meets for one hour weekly
Girls Social Confidence (GSC) groups
Geared towards older elementary school and middle school girls who wish to combat anxiety in social situations and gain the skills necessary to feel more at ease with themselves. Using several modalities such as CBT, role-plays, and mindfulness activities, girls work to increase their understanding and confidence to develop more satisfying relationships with family and friends. Groups meet weekly for one hour
Interpersonal Teens
This group is intended for teenagers who have a grasp on conversational and social skills, but desire extra support to develop interpersonal skills and confidence. Participants are encouraged to examine and understand their motivations, develop new ways of engaging with others, and establish connections and confidence through shared perspectives and problem solving. The group meets weekly for 75 minutes.
Young Adult Groups
This interpersonal process group is geared towards young adults as they transition to new beginnings and challenges. The group will help members identify their strengths and supports as well as help change behaviors related to relationships and sense of self. Members are encouraged to use group relationships to discover more effective ways to relate on both intra and interpersonal relationships. The group meets weekly for one hour
High School Coed Groups
