Peaceful Bodies, Minds, and Hearts:
A Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Yoga Group to Help Your Kid Cope

  • Does your child have trouble weathering the small ups and downs of daily life?
  • Do they often seem wound up, uneasy, worried, or stressed?
  • Do they seem to look on the “cloudy side,” feeling negatively about themselves, their lives, and/or the world?

This ten week group will provide children with strategies for managing stress in daily life and keeping a positive, peaceful outlook while also acknowledging and expressing their feelings. The group will use strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness meditation, and yoga to help kids learn to notice their feelings, experience them, cope with them, and then move on with their day. This group will be particularly helpful for kids who are anxious, hard on themselves, have somatic symptoms of stress (stomachaches or headaches), and who bottle up their emotions.
