Erika received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech and later earned her Master’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. During her graduate studies, Erika provided support services and case management to individuals and their families in transitional housing programs. In addition, she worked with individuals with severe mental illnesses and co-occurring disabilities in a residential setting. At In Step, Erika supports children, adolescents, and adults through individual, family, and group therapy. In addition to her time at In Step, Erika also works for a mental health hospital serving children, adolescents, and adults with acute mental disorders through assessments, group therapy, and family work. Erika’s professional interests include group and family therapy with interests in adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, and maladaptive behaviors and cognitions.
